Privacy Policy
Last updated 19 September 2026
Moonlet is a baby-tracking app. This policy explains what it stores, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the Moonlet iOS app and this website.
What Moonlet stores
- Your account: the email address and name given by Sign in with Apple or Google when you sign in, and an account identifier.
- Your family's log: the entries you record — feeds, sleep, diapers, solids, growth measurements, medicine, notes — along with who logged each one and when.
- Your baby's details: name, date of birth, and optionally sex and time zone, which are needed for growth percentiles and for grouping entries by day.
- Photos you choose to attach to an entry.
Moonlet does not collect location, contacts, health data from other apps, or advertising identifiers. There is no tracking and no advertising.
Why
To run the app: to show your log, sync it between the caregivers you invite, and keep your account working. Nothing is used for any other purpose.
Who can see it
Only you and the people you invite to your family. Entries are visible to every member of that family. No data is sold, and none is shared with third parties for their own purposes.
Moonlet runs on Google Firebase, which stores and transmits this data on our behalf as a processor, on servers in the United States. Google does not use it for its own purposes.
Leaving a family, and deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app, under the account menu. When you do:
- Your account and personal details are deleted.
- A family that only you belonged to is deleted entirely, photos included.
- In a family you shared, the entries stay — the other caregiver's history would otherwise lose half its content — but they stop being attributed to you by name.
Deleted entries are removed from our systems within 30 days. You can export your complete log as CSV or PDF from the app at any time, before or instead of deleting.
Children
Moonlet is for parents and caregivers, not for children. Accounts are held by adults. Information about a baby is entered by the adult who chooses to record it.
Your rights
You can see, export and correct your information in the app at any time. Export, in the account menu, produces a complete copy of your family's log as a spreadsheet or a document. Entries can be edited by whoever logged them, and by an owner of the family.
Deleting your account, also in the account menu, removes your account and your personal details. A family you own on your own is deleted with it, photos included, and anyone you invited to help loses access to it. Where a family has another owner, the log stays for them — they would otherwise lose their baby's history — but your entries no longer carry your name.
If you need help with any of this, including deleting your data when you can't get into your account, email help@moonletbaby.com from the address on the account.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the app will say so before the change takes effect.
